MRG’s new Responsive Grants Program and a reimagining of our grantmaking
by Esther Kim, MRG Foundation
The work of our grantees is changing the landscape of the social justice movement, and we know there is more to be done. Rooted in this need, MRG is launching a new Responsive Grants Program. Organizations are now invited to apply for Micro, Critical Response, and Travel Grants to support unforeseen and urgent work. This program provides grassroots groups across the state with access to up to $3,000 on short timelines, using a simple application process. Click here for additional information about these programs and how to apply or visit our website.
We are continuing to work with current, past, and potential grantees and community supporters to understand the needs of organizers in our community to launch our fully reimagined grantmaking programs this fall. Please join us as we road trip around the state to engage our community in the process and to share additional information about how our programs will be more grantee-focused and easier to apply to, freeing up organizers’ time to do their work.
