Corporare Funders Come Together for a Day of Learning

Last Wednesday a group of corporate funder representatives came together for a day of learning and connection. The day was structured to represent the breadth and variety of the organizations represented, the markets that shape them as well as the corporate philanthropy vehicles they utilize. This was region’s first all-day gathering focused specifically on the needs and experiences corporate philanthropists in Oregon and southwest Washington. They enjoyed an overview of Oregon’s economy from economist Joe Cortwright. The rest of the morning was spent engaged in a presentation regarding the complex and revealing presentation by Dr. Susan Santos about both the use and importance of evaluation and measurement. The afternoon session commenced with peer learning session on leveraging resources and the day concluded with a talk from Oregon Attorney General John Kroger.
